About this Recipe
My resident canine nutritionist was experimenting with a number of dog-safe ingredients. Combining this with that as he often does. In this case, he struck lucky. He came up with a healthy dog treat that’s perfectly natural. And one that’s particularly ideal for a dog who maybe prefers a softer dog treat rather than the usual rock-hard variety.
The treats made with this tuna dog treats recipe taste absolutely delicious. He tastes everything we make for our dogs. And in this case, it was a lot more than just a taste. Especially for some of us!
Make no mistake, if a few of these along with a green salad or some mashed potato and garden peas were put in front of my canine nutrition expert in a restaurant, he says he would have no complaints at all!
There is absolutely no reason you couldn’t try these healthy dog treats yourself. A couple of us tried them warm from the oven and could quite happily have eaten the lot but for the look of sheer desperation on the faces of the resident canine members of our team!
They taste not so dissimilar to a high quality fish cake. Do try one yourself. Just the one mind!
As with all my homemade dog treat recipes, this recipe has been devised by our previously-mentioned resident canine nutritionist. He’s the fount of all knowledge when it comes to feeding man’s best friend. There’s not much he doesn’t know about dog nutrition, even if he is rather too fond of eating his own creations on occasion!
Speaking of which. Do you fancy making homemade treats for your dog? My Bake & Treat dog treat mixes make 100% healthy and natural, dog nutritionist-approved dog treats. Dog treats so healthy, you can eat them too!
Always remember to allow for any treats you give your dog when calculating his or her daily calorie intake. And always ensure he or she has access to clean fresh water at all times.
