This dog-friendly banana ice cream really hits the spot with my dogs. Summer or winter, they really don’t seem to mind. Maybe it’s a canine thing, but my dogs always seem to be up for some refreshing ice cream whatever the weather!
One of the best things about this recipe is that there’s absolutely no reason why you or your children couldn’t enjoy this dog friendly banana ice cream as well. It’s made with 100% natural human-grade ingredients, so why should your dog have all the fun?
With a prep time of just 10 minutes, it’s much, much quicker than popping to the shops for ice cream. And it’s healthier as well. It’s got no sugar, additives or preservatives. And because it’s made with yogurt, it’s perfectly dog-safe ice cream.

As with all my recipes, this dog-friendly banana ice cream recipe has been approved by my resident dog nutritionist. He’s the fount of all knowledge when it comes to feeding man’s best friend. There’s not much he doesn’t know about dog nutrition, even if he is rather too fond of eating his own creations. Especially where there’s an iced treat involved!
He does point out though that xylitol is poisonous to dogs. So please, please check that you buy xylitol-free peanut butter if you intend to share it with your best friend.
