This beef homemade dog food recipe looks good enough to eat, doesn’t it?
The thing is, fresh food has proven to be the healthiest way to feed a dog. Exactly as it is for us humans in fact. To some it may seem extravagant, but in the long run, it is by far the cheapest way to feed your constant canine companion. Especially if you do as I do and look out for short-date packs of meat in the supermarket, and grow much of the fruit and veg yourself.
When you feed your dog, you need to factor in veterinary bills. Which is better? Feed your dog a healthy diet using fresh food and have low vet bills, or feed commercial food and have regular sky-high vet bills? You also need to consider your dog in this equation. Which do you think your dog would prefer? A varied, exciting and healthy diet, or a bland and unhealthy commercial diet and the stress of regularly attending the vets? I know which my dogs prefer!
