Product information

This 100% natural dog treat baking mix makes perfect, high-reward training treats for your dog. These fishy dog training treats definitely have a strong smell and taste of the sea dogs love and enjoy.

Oat flour

Gluten-free oat flour is made by grinding oats into a fine powder. You’ll be pleased to know we’ve already done the grinding for you. You’ll also be pleased to know that oat flour is rich in antioxidants, vitamins and minerals.

Buckwheat flour

Another gluten-free flour, this one is produced from ground buckwheat. Rich in fibre, buckwheat flour is great for dogs with digestive problems. Its low glycemic value also makes it good for dogs suffering from diabetes.

Dried tuna (bonito) fish flakes

High protein, dried Atlantic skipjack tuna. Tuna has anti-inflammatory properties so it’s ideal for any dog suffering from joint problems or allergies.

Nutritional yeast

Nutritional yeast is a significant source of B-complex vitamins. Rich in glutamic acid, it’s also a good source of protein and fibre.

Parsley

Parsley is a great source of essential vitamins and minerals, particularly vitamins C and K. It can help keep your dog’s breath fresh, help prevent inflammation and help fight bladder and kidney infections.

Olive oil

Olive oil provides energy, protects the immune system and helps fight cardiovascular disease and diabetes. It also helps promote healthy skin and coat. Olive oil is especially beneficial for senior dogs. It helps protect against cognitive degeneration and is highly beneficial in protecting joints against arthritis.

Turmeric

Recommended as a supplement by many vets, turmeric has anti-inflammatory, antiviral, antibacterial and antifungal properties. It’s particularly beneficial for any dog suffering from joint pain or arthritis.

About this mix

My healthy and natural Tuna Bites Dog Training Treat Mix for homemade dog treats is made only from natural ingredients. The mix requires the addition of just 2 tablespoons of olive oil and a little water to make approximately 155 dog training treats as shown in the photo above.

These homemade fishy dog training treats are made only with human-grade, dog-safe ingredients. They contain no artificial colours, flavourings or preservatives. Neither do they contain added sugar or salt. Just 100% natural goodness for your best friend.

And remember, all my dog treats are both dog-safe and safe for human consumption. Do try them yourself and let me know how you like them by submitting a review below. And if you really, really like them, why not join my monthly box scheme. That way you can treat yourself and your dog all the more often!

One final thing. As tasty as your dog may find these homemade dog treats, treats should make up no more than around 10% of your dog’s daily calorie intake. Please make allowance for this and reduce the size of your dog’s meals in order to minimise the risk of unhealthy weight gain.

More baking with Bella. This time we tried The Dog Chef “A Taste of the Sea” and she definitely recommends (as do I). They are very tasty (and they don’t smell too fishy).
