At The Dog Chef we believe in using only 100% natural ingredients in our dog treat baking mixes. Every ingredient is both dog-safe and safe for human consumption, so even you can eat your dog’s treats. If he or she will let you that is!

Buckwheat Flour

Buckwheat Flour is both grain and gluten-free. It is richer in vitamins, minerals and dietary fibre than whole wheat flour, which is why we’re rather fond of it at The Dog Chef.

We use Buckwheat Flour in our Tuna Bites training treat mix.

Carob

Carob is a 100% natural dog-safe alternative to cacao. Made from the dried and ripened pods of the carob tree, carob is both sweet-tasting and nutritionally beneficial for your best friend. Oxalate-free, it’s ideal for any dog suffering from diabetes, high cholesterol or oxalate stones.

We use Carob in our Carob & Banana cookie baking mix.

Coconut Flour

Coconut Flour. Made from dried and ground coconut flesh, coconut flour is high in fibre which is great for your dog’s digestion. Completely grain-free, coconut flour is also a good source of protein and fat together with minerals including iron and potassium.

We use Coconut Flour in our Liver Cake training treat mix.

Mint

Mint. Rich in beneficial vitamins and minerals, mint has a long history of medicinal use. It can calm the digestive system, freshen a dog’s breath, act as a natural decongestant and help with travel sickness. It can also help relieve seasonal allergies, and act as a calming herb for nervous and anxious dogs.

We use Mint in our Fresh Breath biscuit baking mix.

Nutritional Yeast

Nutritional Yeast. A significant source of B-complex vitamins, nutritional yeast is a complete protein which can provide your dog with all 10 essential amino acids that it requires from its diet.

We use Nutritional Yeast in our Tuna Bites training treat mix.

Oat Flour

Oat Flour is a whole-grain flour made from rolled oats. Oat flour is rich in B vitamins, chromium, copper, fibre, magnesium, manganese, molybdenum and phosphorous.

Rolled Oats are rich in antioxidants, vitamins, calcium, iron, magnesium, manganese, phosphorus, potassium, zinc and soluble fibre. Low in gluten, they’re great for any dog suffering from allergies, help maintain a healthy cholesterol level, and they’re good for a dog’s skin, coat and digestive system.
